the august edition
A little hot under the collar recently? For some it’s the hot new venues and festivals taking over “FunCOUVER!” For others it’s the sweltering HOT Vancity weather causing all of the hot women to glow.
Last month we welcomed another edition of our annual Vancouver Folk Festival.
I also got a chance to hit up the new joint REPUBLIC. As the new kid on the block (Granville Street between Smythe and Nelson), it is a definite necessity on the strip. Aside from the usual suspects, Republic is a mature lounge catering to the finer social aspects of the party scene. Class is back! Don’t hesitate to check this joint out.
After 4 long years on the road and an extremely successful show, congratulations are in order as Cirque de Soleil celebrated its final showing of Verekai last month under the tents, located on the site of the future 2010 Olympic Village.
